Following the iOS 11 concept video we shared earlier this morning, a new high-quality iPhone 8 mockup has emerged. The new mockup comes courtesy of AlHasan Husni and shows what Apple’s rumored iPhone 8 could look like when it’s introduced later this year, including the rumored function area, smaller bezels, and more. The most notable design change comes with the smaller bezels. On the sides of the device, this mockup shows seemingly no bezel, with the screen curving ever-so-slightly, similar to that of previous and future Samsung devices....

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is out today with a new investor note focused on Apple’s iPhone lineup for 2020 and 2021. Kuo says there will be four new OLED iPhone models in 2020, followed by a new iPhone without a Lightning port in 2021. 2020 OLED iPhones Kuo predicts that Apple will introduce 5.4-inch, two 6.1-inch, and a 6.7-inch OLED iPhone models in 2020. He says that all four of these iPhones will also feature 5G connectivity....

Local Chinese authorities are refuting a report from yesterday, which said that they had told Foxconn it that could not open its iPhone production factories on February 10 like previously scheduled. Reuters reports today that Shenzhen authorities are still conducting checks and have yet to make a final decision. This time, in Chrome for Mac. Google Plus user François Beaufort discovered (via CNET) references to Google Now in the latest Chromium build yesterday that said “creating a skeleton for Google Now for Chrome implementation.” It’s not clear how long it will take for the new feature to roll out, but the code hints to Google Now’s features appearing in Google Chrome’s notification cards....

As part of a sweeping report released today, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that the long-rumored Apple AR/VR headset will feature as many as fifteen cameras. Previously, Kuo has said that he expects the headset to arrive in 2022, priced around $1000. Long term, Apple is believed to be developing discrete augmented reality glasses. Ming-Chi Kuo today released a report claiming that Apple will bring back Touch ID fingerprint recognition to its iPhones starting in 2021. The analyst said that he believes Apple will release an iPhone with both Face ID and under-display Touch ID fingerprint biometrics. Kuo says that over the next 18 months, a lot of technical issues will be resolved which will enable Apple to deliver the high-tier experience it strives for in its devices....
