But maybe it is not all it is cracked up to be. Kardashian had recently been in the tabloids for her argument with her two famous sisters, Khloe Kardashian and Kim Kardashian-West. The two sisters felt that Kourtney had dropped the ball when it came to filming their hit reality tv show while Kourtney felt the cameras intruded....

Similar to the Leather Loops, Apple is starting to roll out a larger variation of its Sport Loop band for Apple Watch. The larger size is only available for 42mm Watches, and is currently limited to the black color variation. Apple states that the larger variation suits wrist sizes between “170–245mm,” while the regular suits 145–220mm wrists. While this isn’t out of the ordinary for Apple, as it offers larger variations of the Leather Loops, Sport Bands, and Link Bracelets, it will allow a small subset of customers the option to buy a Sport Loop, who otherwise would not be able to due to the sizing issue....

After password manager Dashlane grabbed the limelight yesterday with an automated password changer for 50 top US websites, LastPass has hit back with its own version of the same feature. However, while LastPass supports more sites, it falls short of the Dashlane offering by forcing you to change one password at a time, rather than doing all supported sites en-mass, and not yet supporting sites that employ two-factor authentication. LastPass notes that it does this while maintaining its secure approach of ensuring that only encrypted versions of the password are ever stored on the LastPass server, with the apps doing the decrypting on your device....

A delayed launch of Apple’s iPhone, which had been pushed back from the usual summer time frame to mid-October, affected slightly Apple’s earnings, but the effects were felt in the entire smartphone industry which experienced a lower-than-expected growth in the third quarter, research firm IDC reported yesterday. Vendors shipped 118.1 million smartphones during the September quarter, a 42.6 percent growth from the 82.8 million units a year ago. However, IDC’s forecast for the quarter was 49....

Increased Security for LastPass To enable the new LastPass security features, open your web browser and login to LastPass.com. From the Control Panel, click the Settings button in the left pane. On the General tab, you’ll see the two new settings. These settings are location-based login options. The two settings address IP-based login blocking. LastPass is able to detect which country a connection is being made from, and it allows you to block logins from all countries except for the ones you authorize....

Weibo is continuing to be the source of unverified iPhone 6 leaks. This time, user “顾Gooey” has published some photos that he claims to represent display backlight components for the next-generation iPhone with a 4.7-inch screen. These parts appear similarly structured to the iPhone 5S and 5C version of the backlight component, meaning that the forum poster is either passing off the current-generation part as next-generation or that there is something legitimate about the components....

The X-Ray feature is finally available in the Kindle Android app as part of the version 4.8 update. en you’re reading a book just tap the middle of the screen, then touch the X-Ray icon on the top menu bar (if it’s not there, then your particular book isn’t supported). You’ll then be able to browse or search through the X-Ray content; it auto-hides spoiler information by default to avoid ruining the story for you....

Respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released a report late on Sunday that said he believes iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro order demand is ahead of expectations, following the launch of preorders on Friday. Basing his predictions largely off of Apple’s online shipping estimates, Kuo points out strong demand for the new colors: the midnight green iPhone 11 Pro, and the green and purple iPhone 11 models. He also warns that production problems of the glass for the midnight green phone means availability of that model is currently constrained....

Labor outlined on Wednesday that it plans to claw back AU$1.9 billion over forward estimates – a modest AU$500 million per year – by supporting the Organisation for Economic Cooperation’s (OECD) two-pillar solution, and ensuring profits of multinationals with over AU$1 billion in revenue, particularly digital firms, are taxed on products or services sold. As of November, 141 countries and jurisdictions signed up to the OECD’s arrangement, including Australia, which will see multinationals be subject to a minimum tax rate of 15% from 2023....

The National Association of Broadcaster’s trade show in Las Vegas is in full swing, and several prominent hardware makers have unveiled new Thunderbolt 3-equipped tools. Although there are no current products in Apple’s lineup that support Thunderbolt 3, it’s widely assumed that such hardware, made possible by Intel’s Skylake microarchitecture, is in the pipeline. Apple is apparently set to ditch the butterfly mechanism used in MacBooks since 2015, which has been the root of reliability issues and its low-travel design has also not been popular with many Mac users. Every month, Google updates the distribution numbers for its Android platform, showcasing the state of the operating system across its varying versions. In May, Android 5.0 and 5.1, the Lollipop release, showed a total percentage of the Android market of 9.7%. That number grew this month, though, with Android 5.0 coming in at 11.6% on its own, with Android 5.1 commanding 0.8% of the pie chart. Kong: Skull Island won’t be Hollywood’s first attempt to retell the story of King Kong, but it may be the most inventive take on the classic movie monster. Taking place in the ’70s, the film has wrapped itself in the trappings of period action while mining plenty of humor to ground the story. That and its focus on Kong’s fantastical home gives the movie its own unique flavor and appeal. The results have mostly worked, setting up a worthy successor to 2014’s Godzilla and continuing Legendary’s plans for a shared universe of mega-monsters....
