Aside from that, Units get the same amount of Crit Chance bonus from both Skills. Ergo, one is not better than the other with regards to how much Crit Chance bonus they can give. There are, however, some factors that you have to consider before choosing what Skill to equip between these two – most of which we’re going to discuss below.

Fast Critical vs. Auto Critical (Overview)

Fast Critical

Effects: Fast Critical gives your Unit a 15% Crit Chance Bonus that lasts for 40 seconds at the start of the battle. Skill Cost: 2 SC Stacking: This Skill does not stack with Skills of the same type (e.g. Auto Critical) but can be used alongside passive Skills such as Critical Ups and Elemental Critical Ups. Reapplication Upon Revival: It does not get reapplied if your Unit dies and gets revived mid-battle.

Auto Critical

Effects: Auto Critical gives your Unit a 15% Crit Chance Bonus that lasts indefinitely at the start of the battle. Skill Cost: 9 SC Stacking: This Skill also does not stack with Skills of the same type (e.g. Fast Critical) but can be used alongside passive Skills such as Critical Ups and Elemental Critical Ups. Reapplication Upon Revival: It gets reapplied if your Unit dies and gets revived mid-battle.

Considering their differences, there are specific uses for both Fast Critical and Auto Critical in several aspects of the game. For example, Fast Critical is more well-suited in short battles and Speed Farming where everything can be done within its 40-second timeframe. On the other hand, Auto Critical is better used in longer and drawn out fights like Stages with 5+ Waves and hard Boss Waves that you can’t clear within 40 seconds.

Which Skill is Better?

Fast Critical is by far the better choice, as it’s significantly cheaper than Auto Critical in terms of SC Cost. Choosing Fast Critical over Auto Critical means that you’ll be able to save up 7 SC points which you can use to either buff up your DPS further, increase your HP or MP, add Slayer/Killer Skills, etc. Of course, using Auto Critical is also viable if you can’t get away with using Fast Critical instead – although keep in mind that using Fast Critical should always be your priority.
